When people begin exploring treatment options for depression or other mental health concerns, one of the biggest questions is often cost. At Elevated Horizons Therapeutics, we understand that financial concerns are a real part of the decision-making process, and we believe clients deserve clear, honest information from the start.

Transparency matters to us. We value open communication with clients so they can make informed decisions about treatment without feeling confused or caught off guard by the financial side of care. Whether you are considering ketamine infusion therapy, direct-pay psychiatric services, or Spravato treatment, our goal is to make pricing and payment expectations easier to understand.

Why treatment costs can vary

The cost of mental health treatment can vary depending on the type of service being provided, whether insurance is involved, the number of visits needed, and the level of medical monitoring required.

For example, IV ketamine and Spravato are both used in the treatment of depression, but they are structured very differently. Ketamine infusion therapy is typically a direct-pay service, while Spravato is often covered by insurance when a client meets clinical criteria.

Psychiatric care may also be billed through insurance or provided on a direct-pay basis depending on the client’s needs and preferences. Because each treatment path is different, we believe it is important to clearly explain costs

up front.

Ketamine infusion costs

Ketamine infusion therapy is often considered by individuals who have not had adequate improvement with traditional treatment. Since IV ketamine for mental health conditions is generally considered an off-label treatment, it is usually offered as a direct-pay service rather than a routinely insurance-covered service.

Our 2025 ketamine fee schedule is structured to clearly outline the consultation, induction phase, and maintenance care.

Ketamine consultation and induction pricing

The ketamine consultation is $250 and includes the interview, assessment, diagnosis, and planning phase.

The initial and response infusions, which include infusions 1 and 2, are $1,500 total, or $750 per infusion. These infusions help test that you will have a positive response to therapy. If progress isn't occurring, we are happy to consider pausing treatment.

To complete the therapy "induction" phase, which includes infusions 3 through 6, is $1,500 total, or $375 per infusion. This reduced cost is slated to help make the investment in your mental health more obtainable.

The total cost for consultation and induction therapy completed is $3,250.

The maintenance fee for established clients receiving one infusion monthly is further reduced to $250.

In order to make sure finances do not interfere with your treatment and scheduling, respect the time of other clients, and help create a positive environment, full payment for IV ketamine services is required after the initial evaluation.

Direct-pay psychiatric costs

For clients choosing direct-pay psychiatric services, we aim to keep pricing simple and transparent.

The initial psychiatric evaluations are $250, and follow-up appointments are $150.

Some clients prefer direct pay because it allows for straightforward pricing, fewer insurance-related delays, and a clearer understanding of what to expect financially. For others, it offers additional privacy and flexibility in how care is accessed. Whatever the reason, we believe clients should know the cost of care up front.

Spravato costs and insurance coverage

Spravato is different from IV ketamine in that it is an FDA-approved treatment for treatment-resistant depression and certain other qualifying conditions. Because of that, it is often more likely to be covered by insurance when a client meets criteria.

That said, out-of-pocket costs for Spravato can still vary significantly depending on the individual insurance plan. Costs may be influenced by deductibles, copays, coinsurance, prior authorization requirements, and whether different parts of treatment are processed through medical or pharmacy benefits.

Since Spravato includes both the medication and in-office monitoring, billing can involve more than one component. Some clients may have minimal out-of-pocket responsibility, while others may owe more depending on their benefits.

We accept most major insurances

Elevated Horizons Therapeutics accepts most major insurances for covered services. We want to make care as accessible as possible while helping clients understand what their benefits may look like before starting treatment.

Because insurance plans vary, it is important to verify whether psychiatric visits are covered, whether Spravato is included in your benefits, whether prior authorization is required, and what deductible, copay, or coinsurance obligations may apply.

Our team is happy to help clients better understand these considerations so they can move forward with greater clarity.

Our commitment to transparency

At Elevated Horizons Therapeutics, we believe trust begins with honesty. Financial discussions can feel uncomfortable, but they are important. Clients deserve clear information about treatment options, pricing, insurance considerations, and practical next steps.

In an effort to increase transparency even further, we also plan to update the main pages of our website in the future to include more of this pricing and coverage information directly within those pages. We hope this makes it even easier for clients to find the answers they need when comparing treatment options.

Support for clients who are concerned about cost

We understand that cost can feel like a heavy part of the treatment decision. When someone is already struggling, it can be discouraging to wonder whether getting help will be financially possible. That is exactly why we want to approach this conversation with both honesty and hope.

Our goal is to help clients explore realistic options and feel supported, not overwhelmed. In some cases, there may be practical tools that make treatment more manageable.

One option we may discuss is CareCredit, which is a healthcare financing credit card designed specifically for medical and wellness expenses. For eligible applicants, it can provide a way to pay for interest deferred treatment over time rather than all at once. This can be helpful for clients who want to move forward with care while spreading out the financial impact in a more manageable way.

We are also happy to help clients navigate practical barriers related to treatment. Depending on the situation, that may include discussing payment expectations in advance, helping with FMLA paperwork for work when appropriate, and talking through scheduling or time-off concerns related to care.

We never want finances to be a conversation clients feel they have to avoid. If cost is a concern, we encourage people to talk with us. There may be more options, support, and planning available than they initially realize, and we are always glad to help clients think through the path that feels most possible.
